SUNY Alfred Students visit BioSpherix

Thanks to Dr. Steve Bauer and his class at SUNY Alfred for driving all the way to Parish, NY to visit us! We had a blast mimicking a cell production process in the Xvivo System. Each of these bright young people would make a marvelous addition to the Regenerative Medicine workforce, bringing the newest cell and tissue therapies to the patients that need them. They are poised to bring about the future of biotech.

Our CSO, Alicia Henn, to Moderate Upcoming NIST Workshop on Measurement in Biofabrication

Biofabricated tissue-engineered constructs have the potential to transform personalized medicine. However, characterizing these constructs post-fabrication and throughout preclinical use remains challenging. We will hold a 1-day workshop on measurement needs for biofabricated constructs that contain cells, focusing on metrology for the structure of the constructs, cell viability in the constructs, and functional capacity of the constructs.
